Hebrews 2:16 - For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

This verse brings out a very interesting point. We know that Jesus took on the form of man to atone for the sin of mankind, and this verse reminds us that he did not take on the nature of angels. An underlying truth in this verse is that He did nothing to help fallen angels. They are all doomed with no hope of reconciliation. Yet, God chose man. In His love He chose to redeem mankind by sending His Son as the payment for our sin. Wow! What a Savior!!

  1. And those who say when someone dies that heaven gained another angel do not realize that if we became angels when we died, that would be a demotion. We are more precious to God than the angels. WE are His creation that He redeemed, not the angels.

    Good post, Suzie-Q.
